Fernando Solanas: En mi país, la Argentina, hay libertad, pero son libertades restringidas. Yo gozo de libertad pero no goza de libertad aquel que no tiene trabajo, el que no tiene la posibilidad de expresarse, el que no tiene la posibilidad de alimentarse o de curarse. En mi país hay todavía varios millones de indigentes y un 13 o 14 por ciento de desocupados que no tienen estabilidad laboral, ni tienen seguridad social. Entonces la libertad esta dividida en sectores, En un país donde los que más tienen ganan 30 veces más que lo que ganan lo que menos tienen. Por supuesto es imprescindible el gozar de la libertad. No hay realización plena del hombre sin libertad de expresión, sin la posibilidad de elegir su vida y de no sentirse reprimido. Junto con la libertad está la responsabilidad del individuo de aportar a la sociedad, la responsabilidad de participar con el conjunto de la sociedad para que su pensamiento, su aporte sirva para la construcción de un mundo mejor y de soluciones más justas. Nadie puede gozar de la libertad marginándose o rechazando su participación social.

No one can enjoy liberty by isolating himself or rejecting his social participation.
