That one piece of knowledge would be that the world's not going to hell in a basket although it might look like it most of the time. It's gonna be all right. One day when enough people wake up and find out there's a connection between us all and the things around us, we might just start getting our act together. Maybe not in our lifetime but it will happen. In the meantime, you can see bits and pieces of that happening already. (No you won't see it on the news programs) The trick is you've got to beat the fear that hides it from us. Namasté

Everyone, perhaps every thing carries a part of God's message to the universe. Live to listen to the message of others but do not hoard that part of the message you carry. Remember, even your enemy carries part of the message.

The most vitally needed knowledge in the world today is of the ecological principles of living systems. If all children were educated with the conceptual AND visceral understanding of the interrelationships of living systems at all levels of life on Earth, humanity would stand a much better chance of surviving the challenges of this century.

Alvaro Restrepo: If you had only one piece of knowledge to give to the world, what would it be? I think that we need to comment again on a word that I have been confronted with in many occasions and of which we are afraid and this is simply love. I believe that we are supposed to find the ability to love within ourselves. And by completely assuming this ability, we are able to exist. I think that we firstly have to love ourselves and thereby be able to love others, to love our own actions, to love the world we live in and finally to find in ourselves the concepts of being able to love. Me as a teacher and pedagogue feel that what moved me to do what I am actually doing is just the ability to love and also the vocation to serve. I believe that in this life the only thing that makes sense is to serve others.

Ana Lucy Bengochea: We should question our leaders, we shouldn't let bad leaders guide us. We should let good leaders guide us, because when a person leads with heart and soul it can create unity, love and transparency in the world. We will avoid wars, which lead to nothing and destroy our lives. We should make our lives and our environment flourish. We should work for our biodiversity , for secure water supply, for a secure roof over our heads and for sufficient food supply for our families.

Anthony Arnove: Well, I don’t think I have a piece of knowledge and I don’t think it is possible to give one piece of knowledge that would be of particular value to the world. I think the one insight that I have gleamed, that has been most useful to me in thinking about understanding the world and thinking about changing the world, it’s that individually one can’t really understand, individually one can’t change, individually one can’t bring about a different world that it’s only in collectives, it’s only with other human beings, it’s only in social circumstances that one can understand, that one can change the world, that even to be human is to be part of a collective. And once one begins to understand that basic premise, I think we can start -- I feel we can start to understand how to think about what it would mean to understand the world. And then any one of us who is limited in that ability and only collectively can we begin to even imagine how we might understand it, how we might change it, how we might be in a way that is emancipated, in a way that truly realizes human creativity and potential.

Anuradha Mittal: I guess I would have to say, you can be what you choose to be. The decision is yours, and that’s an incredible piece of knowledge to have, to know who you are, and what you can give, what you can contribute, and where your happiness lies. Actually, the other thing I would also add is that change starts with your own self. Do not try to change the world. Just make sure the world doesn’t change you, world with its corruption, with its destruction, with its wars. That if you believe in something, pursue that path. You are already victorious that you stood up to that.

Ashok Gangadean: This question is important to me as a philosopher of the last four, five decades of work. I think that as I looked at all of global wisdom for my life, there is one truth I think that is of the utmost importance that I find in the collective global wisdom. And it is how we use our consciousness. And we make ourselves and make our world a living reality with how we use our consciousness, the technology of our consciousness. And, one of the great truths I’ve found from my great teachers is, when we use our consciousness in an egocentric pattern and that’s the technology that we use. Our life is determined by that. And it is a tragic life, because it separates us from ourselves. It separates us from connectivity. It separates us from fulfillment, from genuine meaning, from truly being who we are. It separates us from our self and from others. So, if I had to give one basic piece of information that is not really information, it’s transformation, it is how do we wake up our consciousness from the egocentric patterns to patterns of integral holistic connectivity, which is the essence of global wisdom. This global consciousness is spirituality, that technology awakening the mind, of opening the perceiving eyes. Bob Thurman beautifully said that is the one piece of transformation, technology, that I would want to see passed to all human beings. Because it makes all the difference. It’s a matter of life and death. And it is a key to our survival in this planet, as we become awakened human beings in a newly sustainable global culture.

Audrey Kitagawa: To be a sincere seeker after God, to know your true purpose in life. For finding that path, that spiritual path, will ultimately help you to live life as a better person, a more loving person, a more compassionate person, and you would thereby not only add value and meaning to your own life but to add value and meaning to the lives of others by helping them to understand the meaningfulness that life has in all of its sacred aspects. And always it is a call to elevate ourselves, to live life with loving kindness, compassion, understanding, and selflessness in all that we do, in all of our relationships. And to leave this world a better place than how we found it.

Benjamin Fahrer: Only one piece of knowledge to give to the world, once a day you’ll get a 112 pieces of knowledge. The one piece that I would like to contribute, that I feel so blessed that I be able to even be fortunate enough to contribute. Is that we need to listen to the earth and all of its beings. We need to listen. We need to take that which we hear that inspires us and put it into action. A good friend, before I left asked the few people this question, then it go, “Wow, I need to think about that for a few days”, well I have been thinking about that for week, couple of weeks now. And I still thinking, because there’s so much that we need to give to the world. But what I synthesize is what came up from my other friends as well, as we need to listen more to the earth and the wisdom that is inherit within nature and see that she is the prime designer and that we have still have so much to learn; so much to learn from the knowledge that she possesses.

Benson Venegas: I think that piece of knowledge would be the concept that - of a family humanity. A concept that everyone is part of one, and everyone is part of the same. That everyone is a big and entire family. This would really help us to overcome conflicts and a lot of the situation that at the moment are affecting us. And create better conditions for solidarity, for cooperation, for dialogue, for the expression of pluralistic opinions, that can also create the basis for better democratic situations where who is important are the people, and not necessarily the system. So we need to share this knowledge, we need to really build on the knowledge that everyone is part of a whole.
