It would take the existing corporations to switch over from their present technologies and adopt the new ones. However they won’t because this is their investment, old technologies. To change would cost them a fortune... However if new corporations’ would start up they could compete but competition is often hard to implement as the old corporations are powerful forces to be reckoned with...

And now to "eco-efficiency". Great parts of the world are still very ecological and so this question is only valuable for the Western countries and specially valuable for the U.S.A. and Russia, the 2 "super-powers" if one considers weapons as power. I consider it rather as paranoia and weakness.Europe of course isn't very ecolological neither. .............. But anyway - again I have to say that the this system cannot be changed by the same system. One has to take a meta-position and that means one has to become much more intelligent than now. This is only possible by "looking inside" and this is an endeavor that each individual has to make himself. By expanding the individual awareness the individual changes and with him changes society. If one tries the "outside way" - politics as they are, economy, authorities.... - one will fail. It is the hard way and it is a spiritual law that "what is fighted will get stronger"....................What is needed now is the free flow of consciousness (which is energy and information) which is set free by self-knowledge. All the other efforts are ignorant because of a dramatic lack of intelligence and intelligence means not cleverness, but an understanding of the mechanism of consciousness - individually. And then, only then, a real ecology will be possible and a friendly and cooperative society as well.

"Just ahead of next month's G8 meeting in Heiligendamm, the Vision Summit 2007 will bring together social entrepreneurs, business leaders and policymakers in Berlin to discuss 10 concepts for an improved design of globalization. The “alternative“ summit will investigate concepts such as microfinance, fair trade and a Global Marshall Plan." visionsummit ........................... Social entrepreneurs, business leaders, policymakers...? Is this a call for authorities? Do you think that people who are so to speak the pillars of the system can change their very own system? Do you really believe that they will saw the branch they are sitting on? ................................ I appreciate the efforts "dropping knowledge" is undertaking. But at the same time you regress to outdated "philosophies" calling for "leaders" of any kind. This is not how the shift in consciousness will happen. I do not say, that these people are not shifting, but they will certainely not be the avantgarde. They have to many "certaineties" and generally speaking, they are afraid of loosing too much. .............................. This shift of consciousness or paradigme shift happens first inside and everything that has been believed so far has to be questionned. Everything. The "good" and the "evil" because there is neither good nor evil. There are only experiences. What will be very different after the shift is, that the individual will be able to choose CONSCIOUSLY his experiences which does happen so far only in a very restricted way and - concerning the so beloved authorities of dropping knowledge - there will be no more authorities at all, not even for small children.
