"Governments and other elected Representatives have the mission to do the best thing for the whole democracy..." ben - Democracy with their governments have a philosophy that the masses are more important than an individual whereas there is no higher value in all multiverses than an individual. If an individual person would be considered as the highest value there would be no need to "govern" and making millions of rules or acting for somebody else which is BTW impossible. However most of the people are not individuals - self-aware. They are still in a kind of collective state of mind, full of fears and take no personal responsibilities and that's why there are governments which are considered as responsible for security. They are expected to control the fears and as the governments are also in this state of fear they create even more fears like terrorism, global warming, etc. - a vicious circle. By "personal responsibility" I mean that a person must know what he is thinking, imagining, DOING inside, because this is what will manifest outside and a person who knows about himself has no need to be governed by others. Although I consider democracy as the best of all possible communities so far it is not the best way of living together if one takes a larger point of view. The best way of living together will be only realizable if many persons will be self-aware and will be able to take over complete responsibility for themselves - will be able to respond to self. And only then freedom is possible.

Governments and other elected Representatives have the mission to do the beste thing for the whole deomcracy, the whole population, the whole nation - even for minorities and those people of the democracy, who already died, and those who will be born, tomorrow, next year, in twenty years. Without this mission, democray may become a dictatorship of the masses.

In some days the G8 will start. To prepare this event, the German governement made razzias, menaces the population of severe sanctions and built a huge fence to impede the "souvereign" - the people - to approach the "leader's" meeting place. The government behaves like it would be common in a dictatorship. That's why the logo of the summercamp is very well choosen. The govern-ment puts barbed wire between the chosen few and us, the dump voting material. But the barbed wire is always present when governmental people go somewhere. I cannot imagine that in former monarchies and dictatorships there where more separation between the governors and the people. They even build castles, not as cute as those of kings, but at least as expensive for the people. And all this is covered by the term of democracy, which is everything but the reign of the people. It is the reign of "Governments". If i.e. in Germany there where enough self-realized individuals, it would not be possible to have "Governments" which "govern". There would be a kind of collaborative Administration, thats all. An individual governs him himself. No need for authorities. So what humanity needs is self-knowledge and to become by this individuals, the individed, and living together in freedom and peace, without nationalities, armies and similar outdated features. Of course, this is only possible with self-knowledge. If a critical mass will not undergo this process of self-realization, the governments will continue their cruel banality. So - BE YOUR OWN GOVERNMENT!
