In my opinion, it's not just a matter of akills and knowledge, but mainly of values. And there's no way to teach, but there's a way to learn. ;-) And at this point, one way or the other, they will learn for sure.

Values seem to help govern the direction and intention in how we do things, I would have to say that their are so many ways to teach as everyone has different ways in learning. There are many different learning styles as well as teaching styles. That is what is also meant in facilitation of one's learning, guiding the student. And the student also helps guide the teacher. At what 'point' are we at? that makes them learn for sure. and what is it that they should be learning? hence the orignal intention I guess of the question.

Guiding

I think we can never say I'm teaching; maybe we can say 'I've thought' when we confirm that it really happened, but that's too difficult to see. In my opinion, we just can help them learning. And, so, we are guiding. Learning is an individual process.
