Myths and symbols of ancient Indian art and civilisation by Heinrich Zimmer. It is an easy read written in 1946 and still relative to the timelessness of the subject, not to be missed for anyone with an open mind.

This book is a slightly ficitonalized account of a reporter's coverage of the O.J. Simpson trial for Vanity Fair magazine. To me, it demonstrates in detail how the justice system in the U.S. is totally corrupted when it comes to people who are rich or famous. Although O.J. Simpson was acquitted in this well-publicized trial, he was later found guilty in civil court and fined $33.5 million dollars, little of which he paid. Presently he is in prison, having been found guilty of numerous felonies, including robbery with a deadly weapon, burglary with a firearm, assault with a deadly weapon, first-degree kidnapping with use of a deadly weapon, coercion with use of a deadly weapon, conspiracy to commit robbery, conspiracy to commit kidnapping, and conspiracy to commit a crime. Shame on the jurors and the judge in the O.J. Simpson trial for allowing him to go free and commit further crimes such as these!

Lately I have been reading back over my life. It has been inspiring to be reminded of times when I felt a strong determination to carry on or when I arrived at important conclusions that took me in a different direction. Without such reflection it is easy to fall back into unhealthy patterns.
