The use of subsidies helps the farmer, get a good price for his crops. If he was paid a subsidy for not growing corn for example and he grew it any way he would not get much for it because there would be too much corn and his profit would be low. But if there were few soybeans say he could get a good price for the needed crop. This is a balance that is hard to make and not often achieved but it could be done, there is also that the consumer pays as well to consider. I side for the farmer because I know it firsthand my family had farms, but no more…
