comment Seems to me that if all of this is the case, then in actuality, each of us can only say what the myth does for us personally. There may be those who connect to the environment including its spiritual aspects, in ways you cannot perceive, by this very myth. Rather than making such a determined interpretation, perhaps you should qualify the perception as "to me."

comment This brings to mind a conversation Jesus had with a Samaritan woman described in John chapter 4. It was as though she was asking him which was the right church to attend. She said she had been taught it was a mountain there in Samaria and that the Jews believed it was in Jerusalem. He said it was neither, that the true worshipers would worship the Father with spirit and truth.
