To me it is having as many experiences as possible, helping mankind and mother earth, and living authentically each and every day. Tough question!

NONONO It Should Not

There are so many reasons why this should absolutely not be pursued for oil. 1. there really isn't all that much oil there. estimates pinpoint around a 6th month supply, now, and seeing as how that oil cannot even be used for 10 years (yes it takes that long to drill it and transport it), it probably will barely last the US for a month! 2. porcupine caribou migrate near there every year. they are easily spooked and depend on that land! 3. the gwich'n depend on the caribou to sustain themselves. that is their main source of food, clothing and shelter 4. it also disrupts the habitats of polar bears that den in the area 5. the arctic wilderness is one of americas last wild places. if we destroy that richness, diversity and pristineness...what does that say about ourselves? these places should be treasured no matter their worth. no one would THINK about toying with the grand canyon, or capping off old faithful in yellowstone to capture energy..and why...becuase the american people value these national treasures and just becuase the arctic is overlooked becuase of its distance doesn't mean it should be forgotten about. phew, that's what i think at least =)

That would be terrible. India just introduced a $2,000 car. What is that going to mean for global warming? The developing world becoming Westernized is going to be very, very troublesome for so many reasons. This earth cannot support more fumes, more factories, more pressure from us. There isn't enough earth to go around for Western lifestyles, there's just not. It's not a matter of opinoin, it's a matter of money and square space. If everyone is popular, no one is. If everyone is like America the entire planet is just going to completely implode I think.

too many people!!!

Jan 25, 2008 4:08:46 AM

I also have that concern.... do I need to have kids? The world is scary, overpopulated, dirty and dangerous enough....is it moral to bring people into the world anymore....or even at such a mass scale as is what is going on today? Sometimes I think we are biological creatures that are here to have babies, care for them, and die, and then sometimes i take a good look around me and think 'yeah, some people really should NOT be having kids.' so i think it's a personal choice and i hope if 2 people DO want to have kids together, they have no more than two so that when the parents die, the kids will replace them and the population won't keep skyrocketing. i want kids, but i dont want teenagers haha so who knows if ill have kids or not. we'll see!!

I would make everyone a pure democracy I think. And let everyone else decide what should happen because I believe in that. One person shouldn't rule or control everyone else. =)

I think so much bull has been committed in the name of Jesus Christ and I think that entire thing is the worlds BIGGEST lie. I'm not saying there is no Jesus or no God, I'm just saying that so much crime, death and destruction has been committed in the name of Jesus and that is certianly NOT his message if he ever was alive and had a message to give anyone. Such a fraud. "Becuase Jesus was all about the military invasions!" (Sarcasm of Bill Maher) =)

United States, Inda, China, Australia, yes? These are the worst countries as far as environmental standards go. Westernization and third world countries trying to Westernize as cheaply and quickly as possible.
