Fear
we are afraid to admit that the disillusionment and conditioning to which we have been exposed and adapted is unreal because it means a painfully wrenching process of reconditioning thought process, habits, and life overall may change drastically. the sunny illusion of the lie is much less effort, however, equally as unrewarding. our society also encourages us to lie to ourselves. capitalism digs that stuff.
Simply,
a happy life is falling asleep at night knowing that every choice you made and every thought you thought was something you could be proud of. or, in other words, working to shed the false conditioning you've been exposed to, being honest with yourself, accepting and loving yourself and truly reciprocating to a few special people. asking, "How am I not myself?" and fixing your answers.
List
1. safe 2. comforting 3. encouraging for many people, it is nowhere near the house in which they were raised. interesting concept, eh?
