Why should we?
People are under the control of their governments and the system their abilities or inabilities create. While there can be situations where other people and countries can help the country and it's people they must learn to develop to help themselves and their situation. We get bombarded by heart wrenching pictures of people starving and wars but we don't get bombarded by what the leaders are living like and where all the money is going which is the real issue as it's not going to feeding people and making them capable it's coming right back to rich and developed countries who are selling overpriced weapons to both sides.
Becasue you don't bother doing anything
You haven't bothered picking up the phone and calling for help or questioned your alleged abuser or even fighting back. If your not going to do something yourself and instead rely on others then why should anyone let alone God help you? A lot of what happens to people can be easily stopped by people and what happens to you usually starts with you. Most atheists are abused children and take this philosophy to heart and turn that hate of their abuser into hate for God. Be strong and call the authorities, it's what you should do.
Atheism is the root of all evil
As religion creates civilisations and laws and taboos. Atheism and anarchy are two sides of the same coin one is religious unrest the other social unrest but both are destructive to societies and neither has created anything or been adopted by any country. People do things of their own accord not because of the group they are affiliated with even though they may share some common values. Atheists are dangerous in this respect as by avoiding calling themselves a dietyless religion or cult they can flaunt a lot of the inciting religious hatred laws that exist for believers of faiths. They can damage the system from the inside as they can "play for any team" and cause friction as transgressors since they will align themselves with those who will benefit them
It's too expensive
Two world wars have demonstrated the effectiveness of outsourcing wars to other countries for profit and it also is quite expensive to use all your own troops both politically (as dead soldiers don't win votes) and socially (people don't want to join the army when the likelihood of returning limbless is high) Also Democracy is financed by wars as you plunder and sell weapons for profit or to secure profit but because civilian life is a now much more enjoyable than military life mercenary armies are an easier option than killing your own tax paying population. As the quote goes "the Democratic public have two jobs for life... do the work and pay the taxes"

So why not again? The Reichstag fire galvanized the Nazis and the King David Hotel bombing made Israel a reality and there are many other such inside jobs which we now know about. Only time will tell if 911 was done by the government or allowed to happen by the secret services incompetence. .

Just another reason to make money
As it's been hijacked by other agendas. If you look at the companies involved and the funding it's about keeping the rich in the money and the poor out of pocket because they are not carbon efficient in burning wood to heat there food and it's there fault there is so much CO2 in the air and they should buy green technology from the developed nations to do their bit.

Religions create civilisations. Every civilisation we know about had a religion at the centre of it and that is where it has derived it's codes of conduct, laws and culture. Almost all religions have at their heart certain principles that we still hold today such as do not lie, cheat steal, kill etc there is no scientific reason for this only religious. The absence of religions has never existed. So called Atheists have created nothing of note nor have they ever ruled or made a footnote in history but the only times they have been discussed is as transgressors and anarchists bringing down the civilisation by attacking central tenets. Also it's not possible for a bunch of crazed delusional folk to create the kind of structures they have and make the four sciences and all the arts and almost everything else that we have developed and refined today. It's like calling your father and mother siblings while calling yourself a normal child.

Jesus in Arabic comes out as Isa (AS) The A and S is added as respect by Muslims. He is considered a great prophet and one who will return. The Jesus in the bible is supposed to be the same person but there are mistakes and inconsistencies in the bible and people allege that Jesus is God so to make the distinction Muslims prefer to say Isa (AS) the prophet rather than Jesus who some Christians believe to be part of a trinity.
Why should he require one?
As every religion is to worship him. To train a doctor you need a course and a certification plan to qualify them and a terms and conditions and a code of practice and hundreds of others things to make sure he knows his stuff and is the real deal - religions do that for people. You can tell a person of faith by matching him to certain conditions but even if he fakes them he still has to match these conditions with God so there is his final test. Religions have evolved because people and languages have changed and so has the requirements but the needs are the same so the tenets are the same in proper religions.

Religion is what creates civilisations and it's where we get the central tenets and basic do's and don'ts. As for people who have died in the name of religion it's hard to say because you would have to determine if each and every one was following the religion or following the crowd. There is no scientific evidence for evolution either but we have plenty of theories. Science is not an absolute yardstick to measure as it does not concern itself with many things outwith it's scope. On the God question the best answer science has is " It requires further study" Much of what religions has done cannot be done today even with our advanced technology. Science and philosophy comes from religion too so it's not as if we have ever had an atheist country or time from which we can make equal comparisons to. It's unrealistic to call all religions man made as there are feats and truths that defy scientific understanding and explanation. Also there is no other system that is recognised to have such an effect on people and bring about radical change in their lives. Almost all religions require concentration, study and understanding. Today's ADHD people don't know much or have an attention span to watch only half a 5 minute youtube clip or 60 minute film.no wonder they choose atheism.
Don't judge - let people do it.
I.e.if a person has been lawfully proven to be bad or evil then consider him so but if not then until you know better they are a good person. Easy - and causes less trouble too.
