Learning
Values seem to help govern the direction and intention in how we do things, I would have to say that their are so many ways to teach as everyone has different ways in learning. There are many different learning styles as well as teaching styles. That is what is also meant in facilitation of one's learning, guiding the student. And the student also helps guide the teacher. At what 'point' are we at? that makes them learn for sure. and what is it that they should be learning? hence the orignal intention I guess of the question.
yes
Life in itself is beautiful..... this realization, in my mind is the essence and the truth that leads to liberation of the suffering that one finds when they belive that life is Ugly.
Duality
Life is Ugly and Beautiful, Alive and birthing, death and dying, they sit next to each other on the corner, lifes paradox, becoming beautiful as zombie passage states in" what makes life ugly?" Once we see that all this lies within, there is no need to go outside for the duality is part of the existance. So many things seem to make life Beautiful, a sunset, an abundance of fruit hanging from the tree in the dewy morning, a surfer coming to shore from an epic session, a climber meeting the summit, the mergence of colors in just the right way, The mastery of nature's design orchastrated from evolution. SO much also makes life ugly, the wipe out of a runner befor the finish, the bad combination of people in the wrong place at the wrong time, can get ugly, the way people sometimes hold themselves, or not hold themselves. Without the Ugliness the beauty can not seem to shine through and vice versa, We need to be, to be human, and life will unfold in both beauty and ugliness, and I ask what do you find beautiful in this life?
Yes,
All in perception and conditionment of our culture, I agree , it is made so by you and by socity, what society states as ugly we become conditioned into believing, and that becomes our perception, same with Beauty.
The ugliness of farming?
I am a farmer who honors the sacredness of natures wisdom and promotes only that of good clean and fair food. I ask this question what makes life ugly, as I have seen many ugly things, especially in the ways in which our culture treats this sacred place. I am a permaculture farmer, and a very small one at that, I farm for life and the question above from Oregon does not make sense to me, as judgment can be ugly like this. Try viewing some of the 100 answers I gave at the table of free voices to base your assumptions on before being so arrogant about the way in which i live. Life is both beautiful and ugly it is the duality that makes up this world. I have a reverence for both and also respect. and I would say yes, the farming that i do, one of slow food, organic, local , wild and community based is very very satisfying. merci
is there any difference?
To know beauty is to know ugliness, is there a differnce, grief and praise, the duality. Isn't it interesting that I posted the question what makes life beautiful and so many choose to answer and respond to that which is ugly. is it harder to see beauty? is beauty not just a perception perpetuated by oneself or others?
