It’s been an exhausting week at dropping knowledge: awe-inspiring, tranformative, emotional. Believe me, you’ve no idea how much work it can be getting some friends together round a table sometimes…(!)
The significance of what happened in Bebelplatz this past Saturday I’m not sure any of us yet know. I know I don’t. But as I begin to sample the answers of these 112 people, I am spellbound… by their passion, profundity, honesty and courage — their beauty, which, as the poet John Keats wrote, “is Truth.”
What you may discover when you begin to examine these responses to these questions is a powerful learning-circle. Here, in 360-degree revolution, are 112 conscious creators, who exemplify many of what could be said to be humanity’s most valuable qualities. There is great humor here and great sadness, great courage, great profundity of feeling and of thought. There is so much, I’m going to forego trying to encapsulate, and just tell you that my own strongest first impression has been of the deep empathy shared by the people at this Table, with others, with all of us, with the “human family”…
This got me thinking… if we can globalize soft drinks and cigarettes, why can’t we globalize empathy? Understanding? Humility? And wisdom? The basic human rights and dignities? Environmental sustainability? Social justice? And peace…? Can our expanding technological interconnectivity spark an exponential increase in global learning?
Maybe you already sense it, maybe you’re about to. Maybe you haven’t seen it yet but will soon. As Arundhati Roy wrote, “Once you see it, you can’t unsee it.”
Take a look at the Table of Free Voices, expand the circle of learning and Ask Yourself… Where does a revolution of conscious creation begin?

Friends, what’s going on with Dropping Knowledge? Why aren’t there some fotos from the event? Why is the Flash-Animation on your website not working (i didn’t find the possibility to select more than one participiant). And, don’t you think that the few press articles are adequate to your efforts?
And, thank you Joe for your post: Why don’t YOU give us more informations about the project? Maybe in this blog????

The significance of what happened in the square and its success will be measured by the willingness of THE PEOPLE to carry the momentum forward. The cart has been pushed, and a heavy cart it is, there remain a ways to go and many tunnels to go through and bridges to cross. But the effort will be truly worth it. Remember this is not about Them and Us, it is about We. That is all for now.

Weiter so…
